Pets love Christmas too. Four legged residents of Remington Apartments were treated to an early visit from Santa. Santa stopped by to remind these precious residents that living at Remington has its privileges. They shared kisses and treats and photos while sitting on Santa's lap. It is clear that not only does Santa love Reindeer but also Dogs and Cats. Without a doubt, the magical Christmas spirit has captured the hearts of everyone.

Burton Carol Management has always believed that the holidays are a time to show gratitude and appreciation for the hard-working first responders that serve our many communities. It has been a holiday tradition to send a holiday cookie tray to police and fire departments that so bravely and tirelessly serve the communities where our properties are located. Below is a very welcome post from the Mentor-on-the-Lake police department where Burton Carol communities, The Reserve at lake Point and Windsor Place are located.

The Ohio Division of Burton Carol Management gathered at Pinstripes in the Pinecrest Lifestyle Center in Orange Village, Ohio to celebrate the holidays and the coming end to another fabulous year. Everyone enjoyed a sumptuous lunch followed by spirited games of bowling and bocce. Themes of the day were "family" and "gratitude" to all of the Burton Carol Associates that truly care for one another and the work that they do on the properties. Another important theme was "unstoppable", as that is the only way to describe the way our teams persevered through the very difficult last several years that made it impossible to celebrate and have a holiday party in person.
The holiday fun and merriment doesn't stop with the party at Pinstripes, in fact it has just started. Next week marks the beginning of the annual Burton Carol 12 days of Christmas + 1 bonus day where associates can win awesome prizes each day if the raffle ticket they received at the holiday party is chosen on one of the days. Attached find a collage of photographs from the day as well as the 12 Days of Christmas + 1 Day handout.

So very proud of Nathan Risman, son of Burton Carol Management CEO, Rob Risman, who was inducted into the 2023 National Honor Society. And though that is a tremendous honor that few achieve, for his school project he chose to spend the day with Burton Carol Managements COO, Joy Anzalone, visiting properties and participating in staff meetings while also meeting with contractors for incredibly large construction projects in motion. Nathan stole the hearts of so many BCM associates as he truly showed his very sweet and sensitive style while also making great observations. When asked to speak at the staff meetings, he rose to the occasion and brought a sense of true honor to the Risman name as he in his very humble and understated way, made everyone feel special. And though he told COO Joy Anzalone, it was his best day ever, it was truly the other way around. Joy and the BCM incredible staff were so honored he chose them to spend his school project day shadowing them.

It was a beautiful summer-like day especially for thousands of Kent State University Students who were the Class of 2022 as they received their diplomas. And a special part of that day was what took place at the very beginning of the ceremony. Since 1983, when Bill Risman was asked to be a member of the Board of Trustees of Kent State University by the then Governor of Ohio, the Risman Family became champions of this incredible university giving their time, philanthropy and leadership in a way that is rare. And just like Rob did for Burton Carol Management by following in Bill's footsteps, so did he at Kent State University which was also his father’s wish. To recognize the years of dedication and the incredible vision that both Bill and then Rob have given to the university, an award known as the University Medallion was presented to Rob on behalf of his family. Rob has worked tirelessly in advancing so many initiatives that are so important to the University. Please read THIS article to see the amazing mark the William B. Risman and Robert Grant Risman families have made for so many students at Kent State University. We are so proud!
