Burton Carol Management is a property management company built on a half-century of excellence that begins and ends with our people.

Burton Carol Management was named in honor of William Burton Risman and Marion Carol Risman, parents of CEO Rob G. Risman. The name also serves to recognize Consolidated Management, Inc. where most Burton Carol Management associates first learned the core principles of successful property management.

We promote from within because we hire the best. Joy Anzalone started with us more than 35 years ago and rose through the ranks to her current position as Chief Operating Officer. Joy’s story is not unique. Many associates have grown with the company, leading to an unmatched body of knowledge and experience. Marcia Hayward, Vice President of the Florida Division and Joseph Kincaid, Vice President of the Michigan Division, both started more than 30 years ago and worked their way up to their current positions. Operating with a hands-on approach and leading by example is the key to success for our associates.

Burton Carol Management embraces a multi-site, multi-department team approach. No one person can, or should, do everything. Bringing together on site staff, trade specialists, marketing, legal, purchasing, quality assurance and others, equates to a lot of different eyes on the properties. There is a safety net of people with the goal being to leave no stone unturned.

Our people have their pencils sharpened. We pay attention to the details, no matter how small. Bill Risman is fond of quoting former Nestle chairman Helmut Maucher: “When a company gets so big that it forgets to reckon in pennies, then something is afoul. That’s the beginning of the end.” Reckoning the pennies has been and always will be a core principle of our company.
