COVID-19 NOTICE

Burton Carol Management prides themselves in putting people first. We have made many procedural changes starting early in March when COVID-19 was taking over the news as we prepared for what became the inevitable. Our communications to our residents started early on and we created a policy of paid COVID-19 sick pay for our dedicated teams as we wanted anyone not feeling well, to not want to come to work due to missing a paycheck. We developed this before there was a Government mandate. The only way we can take good care of our residents is to make sure we are taking good care of our front-line teams including our corporate office and divisional office professionals as well. We are so proud of our people who have all gone to great efforts to be sensitive to everyone’s needs which is normal for our associates, but during these times it has been extraordinary.

We are open for business and are conducting apartment tours in person. We can do a physically distanced tour or give you a map and sanitized keys to conduct a “self-tour” based on our customers comfort level. We also do virtual tours and zoom meetings if that is preferred. Our goal is to do whatever makes our customers feel comfortable and proud to call a Burton Carol Management property home.

Our company has put specific COVID-19 procedures and policies into effect at each of its thirty properties in three states that mirrors or exceeds what the Center for Disease Control recommends. Social Distancing is not just a new buzzword, but it is essential to stopping the spread of this virus. We are adhering to that completely and take it most seriously. We stress washing hands with sanitizer often while making sure that we do our best to get this pandemic behind us all. It is a company-wide policy that masks are mandatory for our associates at all times when they are with co-workers, residents and visitors in any common area or hallway of our buildings. Only when outside and more than six feet away from someone is that flexible. Many States and Counties have made this mandatory as well and we ask our residents to adhere to this when in the hallways and common areas of our buildings. Regardless of someone’s opinion of masks, we do it out of respect and consideration for others. It is a simple way to show you care about others. We are looking out for our residents and associates and especially the "at risk" population on our properties the best we can.

We are over-communicating to our residents frequently in the form of memos, group texts and calls. Our goal is helping as best we can to deal with what is happening in the lives of our residents, our employees, our trades people, our contractors, our suppliers and our future residents. We are most committed to this every day.

Thank you,
Burton Carol Management, LLC
