Burton Carol Management has always believed that the holidays are a time to show gratitude and appreciation for the hard-working first responders that serve our many communities. It has been a holiday tradition to send a holiday cookie tray to police and fire departments that so bravely and tirelessly serve the communities where our properties are located. Below is a very welcome post from the Mentor-on-the-Lake police department where Burton Carol communities, The Reserve at lake Point and Windsor Place are located.

The Ohio Division of Burton Carol Management gathered at Pinstripes in the Pinecrest Lifestyle Center in Orange Village, Ohio to celebrate the holidays and the coming end to another fabulous year. Everyone enjoyed a sumptuous lunch followed by spirited games of bowling and bocce. Themes of the day were "family" and "gratitude" to all of the Burton Carol Associates that truly care for one another and the work that they do on the properties. Another important theme was "unstoppable", as that is the only way to describe the way our teams persevered through the very difficult last several years that made it impossible to celebrate and have a holiday party in person.

The holiday fun and merriment doesn't stop with the party at Pinstripes, in fact it has just started. Next week marks the beginning of the annual Burton Carol 12 days of Christmas + 1 bonus day where associates can win awesome prizes each day if the raffle ticket they received at the holiday party is chosen on one of the days. Attached find a collage of photographs from the day as well as the 12 Days of Christmas + 1 Day handout.

Crain's Cleveland business reported on the sale of the 251-unit Fir Hill Towers apartment complex located in Akron, Ohio. Although very rarely on the seller's side of things, the difficult decision was made to sell Fir Hill Towers, which was owned by the same investment group for over 40 years. The property was managed since 1981 by Consolidated Management, Inc, the predecessor company to Burton Carol, and then managed by Burton Carol from January 2010 until the date it was sold. Burton Carol Management COO, Joy Anzalone, co-sponsored the Growth Opps Carpe Diem Awards, where dozens of students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District gathered for lunch at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown for the announcement of winners in an essay, rap, poetry, and video competition based on "Caesar the Musical", a play turned into a movie written and directed by local singer-songwriter and director Mike Petrone. Joy was quoted in the Cleveland Jewish News stating, "Mike Petrone works so hard to spread goodness and to lift those that often cannot lift themselves which is why being a part of this for me is such a blessing".
